GMA Network's “The Atom Araullo Specials: Munting Bisig” is nominated for Best Asian Documentary at the 4th 아시아콘텐츠어워즈 Asia Contents Awards (ACA) happening on October 8 during the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) of the 부산국제영화제 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
Directed by Aaron “Papins” Mendoza and hosted by broadcaster-journalist Atom Araullo, the documentary features the stories of children who were thrust to the world of work in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to support their families. The documentary was first featured in GMA Channel 7 and is now available for viewing for free at the network’s YouTube page.
Established in 2019, ACA honors outstanding TV, OTT, and online contents from across Asia. The award-giving body is being hosted by the ACFM and BIFF.
