MMFF New Wave 2014 (Student Shorts Section) - 5 Official Entries

The TOP 5 official finalists of the Student Shorts section of the Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) New Wave 2014 have been revealed. Films will be screened from December 17-24, 2014 in SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 cinemas, together with the 5 finalists for the Full Feature and Animation categories. 

1. SIYANAWA by Gio Franco Alpuente (Southern Luzon State University)

2. BIMYANA by Kim Zuniga (De La Salle-College of St. Benilde)

3. SOLTERA by Michelle Soriano (De La Salle-Lipa)

4. KALAW by Immy Rempis (Asia Pacific Film Institute)

5. KUBLI by Regine Ynieto (Far Eastern University)

A huge number of entries submitted for the MMFF New Wave 2014 (5th edition) -- the indie section of the annual MMFF (now on its 40th /Ruby year); 18 full length films / 18 animation films / 88 student shorts. Only 5 finalists will be chosen per category/
