The INWW introduces a new format this year. There are 18 slots available for writers who have attended regional writers workshops and whose works are unpublished. Six (6) INWW alumni from across the regions are welcome to send their works in progress along with a brief paper on their creative process.
Applicants may submit 5 poems; 1 one-act play; 1 short fiction, and an excerpt of a novel in progress in any of these languages: Filipino, English, Cebuano, Waray, Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, Akyanon, Chabacano, Maranao or Higaunon.
Except for works in Filipino and in English, please provide translations of your works in either Filipino or in English. Those submitting excerpts of novels should provide a one-page summary of the novel.
Application forms can be downloaded here or call Sittie Pasandalan (063) 2233806 or Pat Cruz at (063) 2232343.
Keynote Speaker this year is Dr. Jose Butch Dalisay, Director of the UP Institute of Creative Writing. Deadline for entries is on March 30, 2013.
The INWW is funded by the MSU-IIT and the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA).
