The Board of Directors of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will be facing a Senate hearing on August 16, 2011 (Tuesday) at 9:30 am to 12nn at the Plenary Hall, 2nd Floor of the Senate Building
(GSIS Compound) in Manila for the "crime" of displaying the Kulô
exhibit. A large conservative Catholic contingent is expected to attend, so this forum needs the presence of allies of free speech to fill the gallery and
show our Senators that there are those who will not stand for
indiscriminate censorship.
This will be the 3rd dialogue or forum that will discuss the controversial Kulo art exhibition in CCP. The 1st dialogue was held in CCP Main Gallery on August 5, while the 2nd dialogue was held in UP-Diliman on August 11.
If you have something to say, take part in the discussion and let your voice be heard. It is alright if you're shy and just want to listen to many points of view. Your mere presence will count a lot. Because in your mind, you have a stand. A popular song says, "free your mind and the rest will follow..."
You can confirm your attendance here.
The Plenary Hall will be open to any member of the public who can present a valid ID (student/company/driver's/passport etc.).
